Q: Is this for alcohol distillation?
A: No. This kit is intended for non-alcoholic botanical steam distillation only. We do not provide instructions or support for alcohol distillation.
Q: Can I make essential oil from rose petals?
A: Rose petals can produce hydrosol, but a visible essential-oil layer is not guaranteed. Rose essential oil yield is naturally low and depends on the botanical material, quantity, and distillation conditions. Trucey is designed around hydrosol-first expectations.
Q: Can I make lavender essential oil?
A: Lavender may produce a small visible oil layer depending on the variety, freshness, quantity, and distillation conditions. Results vary. The starter experience is focused on making hydrosol, not promising high essential-oil yield.
Q: What plants can I use?
A: Common beginner botanicals include rose petals, lavender, mint, and rosemary. Use only suitable, correctly identified botanicals and follow the guide before your first run.
Q: What heat source do I need?
